Royal Mail Competition

Last term, pupils in both the Prep and Pre prep Departments entered the National Royal Mail’s Christmas Stamp Design Competition 2017. Cheeky robins, festive trees and friendly polar bears filled the Art Room. It was very hard completing a design that would look stunning when scaled down to a stamp sized rectangle!

This month we received information from the Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Mail confirming that Arabella Streeter’s beautiful Bethlehem Design was chosen as a regional finalist. Over 200,00 entries were received from schools all over the United Kingdom and to be narrowed down to the final 120 is an amazing achievement. We are all so proud of her! Arabella, last year’s Art Captain was a talented, creative and hard working pupil and it is lovely that she has been rewarded in this manner.  Both Arabella and the school have received a cheque for one hundred pounds. Arabella’s stamp design will be on display in the Art Room.

Well done ‘Bells!
