Prep school pupils train in First Aid

On Wednesday 31st January all of the children in the Prep School (years 3 – 6) were fortunate enough to be visited by a first aid trainer, named Lawrie.

Years 5 and 6 had two hours of first aid training in the morning and years 3 and 4 had one hour of training in the afternoon.

All pupils learnt C.P.R (which means cardiopulmonary resuscitation) which is pumping air around someone’s body and we learnt how to put someone into the recovery position. Pupils in years 5 and 6 also learnt how to deal with a nose bleed and how to help someone in the event of an acid attack.

At the end of the course all children received a certificate and a leaflet recapping what they had learnt.

It was a very informative and enjoyable course.
