Bikeability for Year 6 Pupils at Howe Green House School

Over the course of this week Year 6 pupils took part in the Bikeability cycling course and
assessment. This consisted of the pupils learning the sharing position, the hogging position and
the super hogging position. The pupils also practised their looking, turning and indicating skills.

Bikeability consists of two assessment levels; to pass level 1 the pupils needed to demonstrate
indicating and changing gears when appropriate and to pass level 2 they needed to be proficient at
turning, sharing, hogging, super hogging, looking behind and being aware of the traffic.

The year 6 pupils would like to thank the Bikeability coaches Nathalia and Jeanette for their
expert teaching.
