Over 40 Howe Green House School children from Years 3 to 6 recently took part in the USSP Small Schools Athletics Tournament at Carver Barracks, competing in a range of different field and track events.
Throughout the event, HGH had plenty of success with many children winning 1st, 2nd or 3rd places in their events. We also had great success in each of the relays, after some excellent teamwork and changeovers.
When the results were announced, we knew we had a chance of being placed in the higher positions. It was then announced that Year 3/4 came first , with Year 5/6 finishing second in their respective competitions! Then to our delight, we were announced as overall tournament winners!
It was an amazing effort from all of the children who competed, very well done to all of them.
