Paws for reading at Howe Green House School

Howe Green House School had been delighted to welcome Willow  –  a golden retriever who is currently training to be their therapy dog. She attends school three times a week and spends time with a selection of children as part of her training. During her day, she listens to Year 5 children read, goes on walks with children and, with her owner, helps educate the children on dog awareness and dog handling.

Willow clearly loves coming to school and has already had a positive impact on the whole school’s wellbeing. She enjoys spending time with the children and listening to them read. Her favourite author so far is David Walliams!
