School Lunches

School lunches are prepared off site by AQ Cuisine, headed by Amna Qadri. Amna began her culinary career as a cook in a local primary school and quickly worked her way up by working at various restaurants, before joining a major hotel group as a Chef de Partie. There, she helped to prepare high-quality food for four years before moving on to catering for a private jet company whose clients were VIPs flying out of London Stansted Airport; this is where her skills and talent really had to be applied in preparing meals from best of British, Italian, French, Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine.  Amna now also caters for private dining clients as well as preparing tasty and nutritious lunches for Howe Green House School.

Our menu runs on a three week rotation with parents, together with their child, choosing a main course and dessert in advance.  Whilst it is not possible to constantly change options we do notify parents of any changes to the advertised menu by letter.

The majority of the children choose to have school lunches provided by our caterers, however some parents opt to provide their child with a packed lunch.

On days when children are out of school attending fixtures or outings we provide a packed lunch.  You will be asked to choose in advance which packed lunch option your child would like and this information is kept on file until required.  Of course you can choose to supply your own packed lunch if you wish, although there is no reduction in the fee if you choose this option.

The cost of school lunches is £350 per term, and this amount is added to your fee account.  It should be noted that there is no reduction in the fee if, for any reason, your child is not in school.

If you child has any specific dietary requirements please contact the school.
